Rumblings in the Deep
Papers found in Robert Caradoc’s room
A sheaf of notes, untidily scrawled in black ink on expensive-looking cream notepaper. They are written in archaic Welsh possibly dating back to Roman times.
Translation reveals two Druidic-style magical rituals:
- a spell to cause a dread clutching at the heart of the Druid’s chosen enemy, such as to cause a deathly chill to come over him. This ritual requires a sacrifice of the Druid’s own concentration and the letting of his blood;
- a spell to endow with the tongues of birds. The recipient will gain eloquence and charm unbounded. This ritual requires the sacrifice of a human voice-box.
